My dance journey!

I was born and raised in the big city of Las Vegas, Nevada; only having a quick 15-minute drive to The Strip. This big entertainment city was also where my love for dance began. Starting at the young age of four years old, I started taking dance classes in tap and ballet. By the time I was seven, my dance teacher had offered to teach me a tap solo for dance competitions, and the rest is history! From then on until I graduated high school, I trained and competed at my local dance studio and even joined my high school's varsity dance team!

To further my dance career, I now attend Oklahoma City University where I am working towards a Bachelor's of Performing Arts in Dance Performance. While at OCU, I have worked diligently on my technique and style, studied all aspects about the entertainment industry, and have had multiple opportunities to perform, choreograph, and work behind the scenes!

A Passion for Choreography

Along with being a dancer, I have also fallen in love with choreographing and teaching! Ever since my freshman year of high school, I have had so many opportunities to choreograph pieces for all sorts of ages, levels, and dance styles. I've created dances as small as a solo for competition and as big as 24 middle schoolers for halftime at a football game!

This passion for choreographing has led me to expand my horizons and begin to set forth on a future career path for it! Somewhere down the line, I plan to start up my own choreography business where I can travel the country to create and explore movement with as many dancers as possible. I also want to collaborate with others on more mainstream projects, and hopefully make a name for myself in the choreographer realm! To launch my passion, I'm actively working on building social media platforms like Instagram and YouTube solely to showcase my choreography! (coming soon!)

Adversity Meets Opportunity

In late July 2025, I had to undergo surgery on my left shoulder due to a labrum tear and cyst forming. Almost a whole year later, and I'm still going through the ups and downs of the recovery process. One of the biggest obstacles I faced was my whole junior fall semester being flipped on its' head. Instead of doing the typical of being in technique classes and shows, I was doing physical therapy and in zero performances. As someone who loves to perform, I was absolutely gutted to not be on the stage for some time, but instead of giving up I took this as an opportunity for growth.

In my semester of no performances, I was able to help run company auditions, work as an assistant light board operator, be on merchandise staff for OCU's Holiday Spectacular, and help load in and strike multiple shows. Without having this adversity come my way, I would have never gotten the chance to explore these avenues of the entertainment world.
